AAANZ Conference 2017 ‘Art and Its Directions’ – Special Event

The Kerry Stokes Collection is one of Australia’s largest, most diverse and prestigious private collections. It comprises Australian paintings from the colonial period through to contemporary Australian and Indigenous works. The collection also includes works by major international artists such as Jean Dubuffet, Henry Matisse, Claude Monet and René Magritte. Its diversity is reflected in a lively and eclectic mix of acquisitions comprising of maps, rare books, manuscripts, documents, illuminated manuscripts including incunabula and early printed books, photographs, scientific instruments and historic relics covering a period from the mid 12th century through to the 21st century.
