The AAANZ sends its respects to the family and colleagues of Associate Professor Bonnie English who passed away on 25 June 2013. Bonnie spent much of her life building up the area of fashion research, gained an international reputation in the area, and staged the first exhibition of Japanese fashion in Australia, ‘Tokyo Vogue’, in 1999, which I reviewed at the time for ‘Art Monthly’. Bonnie was a regular conference speaker at AAANZ over the years and she will be missed by her community at the Queensland College of Art/Griffith University where she worked since 1975.
