As the Art Association of Australia and New Zealand approaches its 40th anniversary I’m delighted to announce a number of significant changes for our Journal of Art. A new publisher In 2014 we will partner the international publisher Taylor & Francis, allowing us to maintain the highest standards of scholarship into the 21st century while streamlining production. Design and Art of Australia Online (www.daao.org.au) is the next generation of the Dictionary of Australian Artists Online, which in turn had its origins in Joan Kerr’s Dictionary of Australian Artists. Despite its incomplete state, the DAAO is already the most comprehensive data base on Australian visual culture, and as such is proving to be a valuable research tool. freely available to all.
