AAANZ 2021 Online
When we began organising the AAANZ 2021 conference in late 2020, our goal was to hold an in-person conference at the University of Sydney. However, the Covid-19 pandemic had other plans. In August 2021, an outbreak in Sydney made holding an in-person event in December all but impossible. So, we made the difficult decision to shift the conference entirely online.
More details about our online format will be posted here soon.
FAQ
Do I need to be an AAANZ member to join the conference?
Yes, you will need to be a AAANZ member to attend the conference. (Some parts of the conference, such as the keynote addresses, may also be open to the public.)
However, you do not need to be a member to submit a proposal for a panel or a paper. If your application is accepted, you can join AAANZ when you register for the conference.
Will I be able to travel to Australia?
Due to the coronavirus, travel in and out of Australia is currently being very tightly controlled, and there is a strong chance that travel to Australia in December may be very difficult, if not impossible.
To check the current travel rules, please consult the Department of Home Affairs website, especially the section entitled “Travel Restrictions and Exemptions”.
