The position will lead/coordinate the Sculpture Workshop at the ANU School of Art and Design and contribute to teaching and research supervision within this dynamic and esteemed institution. The programs taught at the ANU School of Art & Design are a combination of engaged hands on making and leading-edge digital practice, unique in the Australian tertiary sector.

The ANU School of Art & Design fosters an environment to support individual and collaborative research and the position will undertake education development and delivery in coursework in the Bachelor of Visual Arts and the Bachelor of Design, and supervision in the corresponding graduate programs.

The successful candidate will contribute to the research activity and profile of the School, and provide high quality and innovative teaching within the undergraduate and post-graduate programs. The successful candidate will have a personal research profile based on an active creative research practice through exhibitions, and other activities relating to and furthering the field of Sculpture.

The ANU College of Arts and Social Sciences (CASS) is the largest single College of seven Colleges at ANU. The College, which is structured into two main research schools, offers degrees in more than 20 discipline areas and excels in research across the creative arts, humanities and social sciences. The College has a substantial international research presence and is a major source of national policy advice. Our academic staff are internationally recognised for their research, and 46 are members of the Australian Academy of the Humanities, the Academy of the Social Sciences of Australia, or both. We also host 13 Australian Research Council Future Fellows and two ARC Laureates.
