Call for neurodivergent creatives

DYSPLA London is embarking on a new digital art project in New Zealand and we are putting some feelers out to see if anyone is able to introduce us to local artists, (actors, writers, visual artists, dancers, musicians, etc) from New Zealand.

Project Details Below:

DYSPLA, in collaboration with Sensory Anthropologist Dr Ruth Gibbons, will create a series of 3D Augmented Reality (AR) Performative Digital Sculptures, focusing on the neurodivergent body in movement.

The project, entitled DYSPLA Motion, seeks to address stigma around the disabled body, while also exploring the concept of ‘Neurodivergent (ND) Physicality’ and how the ND body generates thought.

DYSPLA is looking for 3 additional neurodivergent creatives in Palmerston North, Auckland, or Wellington to participate in a couple of workshops alongside the creative team.
Workshops: 31st May & 1st June 2025
Exhibition & Panel Talk: 4th June 2025 at Massey University
Supported by: British Council
Further information about the project can be found at this link DYSPLA_motion.
Register for free for either one or all of the online discussions, details below. These online discussions were initially intended to spark conversation around themes of restraint and movement, as experienced within our neurodivergent community.
