The Society of Architectural Historians of Australia and New Zealand has calls for papers open for its 2026 conference, and two upcoming issue of its journal Fabrications.
2026 SAHANZ-AUHPH Conference: Absence: Call for Abstracts
Abstracts for SAHANZ-AUHPH 2026, “Absence,” being hosted by the University of Melbourne from 7 to 9 December, are due in by Friday 27 February. Abstracts of 300 words are invited for 20-minute, 3000-4500 word conference papers that engage with the theme of absence as it relates to architectural history. Papers will be fully refereed for presentation, with the option to be published in the conference proceedings. Fabrications CfP: 36.3, “Civic”
Fabrications invites papers for Vo 36, No. 3 on the theme of “Civic”, edited by Susan Holden and Isabel Rousset. The deadline for full papers is Friday 27 February 2026 and publication is scheduled for November 2026. Fabrications CfP: Open Issue 37(1)
Fabrications invites papers for issue 37.1, an Open issue. Papers are welcomed on topics addressing the architecture and landscapes of Australia, New Zealand, the Asia Pacific and other places, from any period. The deadline for submissions is Sunday 29 March 2026.
Papers for an open issue of the journal can also be submitted at any time. The journal publishes online first, meaning that your accepted paper will be published on the journal’s page on the publisher’s website once it has gone through the normal editing and proofing process.
