Call for Papers | ArtCrime2018 ‘Provenance Matters’ Wellington September 2018

The 4th annual New Zealand Art Crime Symposium will take place at the City Gallery Wellington, on Saturday 22 September 2018.

Hosted by the NZ Art Crime Research Trust, in conjunction with City Gallery Wellington and our other sponsors, ArtCrime2018 will encompass a wide range of presentations on all aspects of, and explore a range of issues relating to, art crime in New Zealand. The programme will favour New Zealand content, but will also encompass international content that highlights or illustrates material of relevance to a primarily New Zealand audience. There will be a range of presentations, plus ample opportunities for networking.

The overall theme of ArtCrime2018 will be “Provenance Matters”.

You are invited to submit 200-word abstracts for 20-minute presentations, within the broad ambit of the overall theme of “Provenance Matters”, by Friday 21st July 2018.

Successful presenters will be notified by email by, at the latest, Friday 3rd August.

Please submit your proposal in the body of your email, adding also a short bio (up to 350 words, and including were appropriate short summaries of relevant publications and previous conference or symposia presentations) by email to: artcrimenz@gmail.com

If selected to present at the Symposium on Saturday 22 September 2018, any PowerPoint files to accompany your presentation will be required no later than Friday 7th September, together with a passport photograph and a very brief bio statement and contact details (for inclusion in the Symposium’s programme).

Presenters will not required to pay the Symposium’s registration fee.
