Geoffrey Batchen, currently Professor of Art History, Victoria University, Wellington has been appointed to the Professorship of the History of Art at Oxford University from 1 January 2020. Batchen is planning to undertake several research projects focusing on the photographic collections at Oxford University. He is encouraging applications from ambitious students wanting to write theses on the history of photography.
