Anthony White has been appointed to the position of Deputy Director of the Australian Institute of Art History. Anthony is Associate Professor of Art History at the University of Melbourne, and he’s an internationally recognized specialist of modern and contemporary art, especially Italian modernism. But he’s also worked on art and disability and outsider art, and his most recent books are Italian Modern Art in the Age of Fascism (2020) and Variations: A More Diverse Picture of Contemporary Art, co-authored with Tristen Harwood and Grace McQuilten (2023).
