Eligibility

Bursaries are intended to support students, early-career researchers, independent practitioners and other delegates experiencing financial barriers to attending the conference. Applications will be assessed on individual financial circumstances, including travel costs, caring responsibilities and access to other funding or institutional support.

Priority will be given to applicants travelling from Australia and the North Island of Aotearoa New Zealand to attend the conference in Christchurch. Applications from delegates based on the South Island and those travelling from other international locations will also be considered.

Different levels of bursary support will be available to accommodate varying travel and accommodation costs, taking into consideration applicants’ financial circumstances and location.

Applicants will be required to outline their financial circumstances in a brief statement (maximum 200 words), provide an indicative budget of conference-related expenses, and disclose any other funding or financial assistance they have received or secured towards attending the conference.

  • 10 × AUD $500
  • 5 × AUD $750

Please note: Bursary funds may be used towards conference registration, travel and accommodation costs. Successful applicants are responsible for making their own registration and travel arrangements. AAANZ does not pay registration fees separately on behalf of bursary recipients.

Successful applicants will also receive an additional one year of complimentary AAANZ concession membership.
