A key leadership position that provides a unique opportunity to collaborate with the visual arts sector to inform the Australia Council’s advocacy, development and investment to effect positive change.

  • Deep and ongoing engagement with the Australian visual arts sector to stay abreast of and influence emerging and long-term opportunities and issues
  • Custodianship of a constantly evolving body of analysis, research and sector intelligence to inform the Australia Council’s investment, advocacy and activities
  • A powerful ambassador and advocate to stakeholders including the industry, government and the public

  • High-level relationship management, advocacy, influencing and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the creative and cultural industries
  • Commitment to and evidence of cross-artform collaborations and advocacy
  • Established and credible professional networks in the industry
  • Proven experience in capturing information from data sources to achieve strategic outcomes
