The School seeks to appoint 2 Lecturers across a range of disciplines in Cultural Materials, Classics & Archaeology.

The Faculty of Arts
The Faculty of Arts is a leading academic community dedicated to exploring and understanding the complexities of our ever-changing world. Our five schools, including the Asia Institute, School of Culture and Communication, School of Historical and Philosophical Studies, School of Languages and Linguistics, and School of Social and Political Sciences, house renowned researchers and intellectually engaged students. The School of Historical and Philosophical Studies encompasses History and Philosophy of Science, Philosophy, Jewish and Hebrew Studies, Conservation and Classics and Archaeology. We currently have vacancies for Lecturers across the following disciplines:

• Ancient Near Eastern History & Archaeology • Cultural Materials Conservation

Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for people who demonstrate a detailed understanding of one, or more, of the above-mentioned studies.

You will also have:

  • A completed PhD in a relevant discipline and evidence of active research
  • High quality scholarly activities and professional experience resulting in significant outputs, including funding from national and/or international competitive research bodies, and other sources

This position requires the incumbent to hold a current and valid Working with Children Check to ensure the University provides a safe environment for everyone.
