The Role and Your Responsibilities

The Research Fellow will be required to undertake a range of research and project management activities in line with the ARC Discovery Project’s strategy and proposal.  The position will play a significant part in carrying out team based research activities that will make a significant impact in the area of art based social enterprise education and training practices with marginalised young people. You will be expected to contribute to the development of a high quality research project, and to play a lead role in the production of high quality outputs.

You will be the primary point of contact with stakeholders, organising travel and meetings, managing and maintaining the project’s data management archive. You will be involved in theoretical and methodological discussions, the preparation of briefing documents, working papers and drafts of conference papers/journal articles drawing on the data analysis from each Stage, and ongoing review of policy and research literature. You will engage in high-level evaluation and meta-analysis of pre-existing data sets; conduct interviews with participants; and conduct high-level evaluation and analysis of interview data, using qualitative data analysis tools.

Skills & Experience Required

To be considered for this opportunity you will have a PhD in a related field and an emerging track record of quality research outputs which will contribute to existing high performing RMIT research teams, evidenced by publications and development of new research initiatives. Essential to your success in this role will be your excellent interpersonal and communication skills and your ability to build effective networks with colleagues.
