AAANZ is calling for proposals for book publications from recently submitted doctorates in the fields of art history, art theory, art curatorship or art practice.
This initiative has been developed by AAANZ in association with publishing house Taylor & Francis, with the intention of publishing a series of three monographs. The series will be divided into two rounds with proposals for the first two monographs selected in the first round in 2022.
A Committee comprising of senior and early career art historians will select two recently completed PhD theses to be revised and published within the next two to three years. A third thesis will be selected in a further round to be held in 2023. Selected writers will work with the series editors, Rex Butler and Anthony White, who will assist in the development of a manuscript suitable for publication.
