Issue 10 – 2017-2018 features articles by Anna Parlane, Simon Pierse, Alice-Anne Psaltis, Kate Warren, and book reviews by Una Rey and Grace Blakeley-Carroll.
This issue focusses on contemporary Australian art and its precursors, with essays on Lynette Wallworth’s immersive media environments, Richard Bell and Emory Douglas’s Burnett Lane mural, a 2012 work by Michael Stevenson, and Alannah Coleman at Bonython’s in 1970. Reviews of Sheridan Palmer’s recent book on Bernard Smith, and David Brooks and Darren Jorgenson’s book on the Wanarn painters are also included in this issue.
emaj is a refereed art journal published online from Melbourne. Issue 10 was edited by Giles Fielke, Helen Hughes, and Paris Lettau.
